A German tourist drowned at Nai Harn Beach, Phuket on Wednesday after ignoring a safety warning sign urging beach-goers not to swim in rough weather, police said.

Police and paramedics were alerted about a drowned foreign male tourist, identified later as Frank Retsch, 35, at 6pm.
