Appeal filed in Abhisit murder case

The families of two victims of 2010’s crackdown on political protestors on Monday appealed the Criminal Court’s decision to dismiss murder charges against then-prime minister Abhisit Vejjajiva and former deputy premier Suthep Thaugsuban.

Samorn Maithong, who was injured, and Nuchid Khamkong, wife of taxi driver Phan Khamkong, who was killed in the April-May action against United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship members rallying in Bangkok, requested the Appeal Court reverse the lower court’s decision to dismiss the criminal suit against the two former leaders.
