More foreign businesses allowed to operate in Thailand

BANGKOK, 21 August 2014 (BBT) – The Department of Business Development has reported that it approved 261 foreign businesses with the combined investment value of 14 billion baht to invest in Thailand from January to August 2014.

Director-General of the Department of Business Administration Phongphan Chiarawiriyaphan said the 261 foreign businesses accounted for a 10% increase in requests for foreign business operation in Thailand during the first eight months of 2014 compared to the same period last year. The businesses are from many countries including Japan, Singapore, France, Hong Kong, Germany, U.K., Australia and Netherlands.
