72 Cambodian migrant workers caught sneaking to Thailand

SAKAEW, 15 July 2014 (NNT) – Seventy-two Cambodian nationals – including seven children – have been arrested and detained by Thai immigration and Military troops in Sa Kaeo Province for illegal entry into Thailand. The group was caught while they were sneaking into Thailand.

Military officers on patrol in Aranyaprathet District found a group of Cambodians strolling 500 meters away from the Thai-Cambodian border. The authorities intercepted the group to check on documents. The military and police then arrested the group for illegally entering Thailand after it was found that they had no documents or passports.
