Thai Highway police on alert as travellers return home

BANGKOK, April 15 – Songkran celebrants started returning from upcountry to the capital today to avoid traffic congestion as highway police are in full force to facilitate motorists and travellers.

Nakhon Ratchasima where roads from several northeastern provinces meet has been congested since yesterday.
