CAPO orders live broadcast of April 22 electoral meeting

BANGKOK, 21 April 2014 (NNT) – The Center for the Administration of Peace and Order (CAPO) has announced that the meeting between the Election Commission (EC) and political parties tomorrow will be aired live on television.

Member of the CAPO working committee Pol Lt Col Anchulee Theerawongpaisal stated that CAPO had acknowledged the need to allow the Thai people to witness the discussion this April 22 concerning the next round of general election in order to prevent distortion of information afterwards. Therefore, the center resolved that live broadcasts would be conducted by the National Broadcasting Services of Thailand (NBT) and MCOT, with the Public Relations Department in charge of coordinating with the EC and related units.
