A well-known homeless personality in Pattaya – a Dutch national known as “Five-star Tony” – has died, according to a message from his church.

Tony, who got his nickname from his distinctive facial tattoo, had lived in Pattaya for nearly 20 years, the last three on the streets. Encounter Church said that he passed away at 2am on Wednesday as a result of liver failure after drinking himself into unconsciousness several days ago.
