Criminal Court approves arrest warrants for 19 PDRC protest leaders

BANGKOK, Feb 5 – Thailand’s Criminal Court today approved arrest warrants for 19 leaders of the anti-government People’s Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) for violating the emergency
decree.

The court’s decision followed the request of the Centre for Maintaining Peace and Order (CMPO) seeking the court approval for warrants to arrest protest leaders including a number of former Democrat MPs–Suthep Thaugsuban, Sathit Wongnongtoey, Chumpol Julasai, Putthipong Punnakan, Issara Somchai, Witthaya Kaewparadai, Thaworn Senneam, Akanat Prompan and Nathapol Teepsuwan.
