Anti-government protester leader refuses to negotiate with government

BANGKOK, 31 January 2014 (NNT) – The Center for Maintaining Peace and Order (CMPO) has made known that the People’s Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) has refused to enter into negotiations with the government.

According to Special Investigation Department chief and CMPO secretary-general Tarit Pengdith, PDRC leader Suthep Thuangsuban has rejected government’s efforts to negotiate on their plans to disrupt the coming Sunday’s national polls and to continue the seizure of key government offices.

Mr Tarith said the CMPO will continue to bring both sides to the negotiating table.
