Two Thai women caught with drugs at border

Two Thai women were arrested in Narathiwat while trying to smuggle five kilograms of crystal methamphetamine “ice” through the Sungai Kolok border crossing, police said yesterday.

Arisara Thesaka, 30, and Anong Raksalert, 35, were hired through Facebook by a Nigerian man with the profile name of Kelvin Osondu. They were to be paid Bt150,000 to deliver the drugs to the man in Malaysia. Police said the drugs had a street value of Bt50 million.
