Thai PM Yingluck Shinawatra visits flood-hit provinces

SUKHOTHAI, Sept 13 – Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra visited four flood-stricken provinces in the North today, saying rehabilitation processes will be accelerated to help flood victims.

Ms Yingluck flew to Ayutthaya, Nakhon Sawan, Sukhothai and Phisanulok.

Flooding in Sukhothai was caused by an eroded flood embankment coupled with a large amount of rainfall but the situation is now under control, she said.
