Greenpeace urges Thai governmentt to get serious about environmental problems
BANGKOK, 24 September 2012 (NNT) – The Greenpeace has called for the Thai government to get more serious in solving environmental problems, urging them to come up with a concrete policy in reducing fossil fuels.
On Sunday, Bangkok and many other cities throughout the world simultaneously organized the Global Car Free Day to encourage people to leave behind their cars in order to help reduce global warming. Greenpeace Campaign Manager Ply Pirom said the event in Bangkok bode well for the Greenpeace’s efforts as many organizations in the world also showed their support to the save-the world campaign. He added that with the participation of over 10,000 people, the event showed that many people wanted to see changes in the city.
