The Criminal Court on Tuesday sentenced to life imprisonment a man who planned to bomb the Bhum Jai Thai Party headquarters but injured himself instead when the explosives accidentally detonated two years ago.

However, the jail term for Anek Singkunthot, who was blinded in the explosion was reduced to 35 years because he confessed.
