Environmental crime busters seized birds that were on the protected species list, while they were being transported to Bangkok where they were going to be sold to foreign tourists wishing to merit making by freeing them.

The Natural Resources and Environmental Crime Suppression Division arrested three suspects; namely Chumrus Saengsaes, Daeng Phumna, Ratch Phanwong and Wanna Sornsang, along with some 5,000 of ricebirds and munias, which are on the list of protected species.
