One girl killed, four wounded in bomb ambush in Pattani

PATTANI, March 17 – A bomb ambush in Yarang district killed 1 female student and injured 4 others while they were on their way home on three motorcycles after final exams, while authorities believed the explosion was aimed at paramilitary rangers.

The deceased victim was 19-year-old girl Hamsau Sa-de from Prasan Wittaya School, a muslim school. The other students were also females from the same school. One of them was seriously wounded, the 17-year-old sister of Ms Hamsau while their friends were aged 13, 16, and 17.
