BANGKOK, 10 February 2012 (NNT) – Thai Army Chief General Prayut Chan-O-Cha has criticized the mastermind of the car bomb in front of Pattani’s Provincial Health Office yesterday morning as showing no consideration for innocent bystanders.

The explosion killed 1 person and injured 15 others. The General said the army has always been extra alert to the insurgency in the South, adding that soldiers and police have performed to the best of their ability in providing protection and patrolling risk zones. He is also urging southern residents to report to authorities any suspicious movements or people.
