European delegates to visit Ubon Ratchathani

UBON RATCHATHANI, 1 February 2012 (NNT) – The Delegation of the European Union to Thailand will visit Ubon Ratchathani province on the ‘EU Travelling Tour of Thailand’ during 8-22 February.

With the cooperation from Ubon Ratchathani University, the opening ceremony of the EU Travelling Tour of Thailand will be held on 8 February at 9 am within the university compound.

H.E. David Lipman, Head of the EU Delegation to Thailand, will demonstrate how to cook ‘som tum’ or papaya salad during the ceremony. The event will be open to the public free of charge.

The visit by the EU delegates is aimed at creating a better understanding among students, academics, and the general public of the EU-Thai relations as well as publicizing university education in Europe, scholarships, and European cultures.
