Court orders further detention for terror suspect; transferred to prison

BANGKOK, Jan 17 – Thailand’s Criminal Court on Tuesday ordered further detention for a dual-national Lebanese-Swedish terror suspect for 12 days for illegally possessing explosive materials.

Atris Hussein has been further detained for 12 days at Bangkok Remand Prison from Jan 17-28 pending questioning of about 30 witnesses.

Thai police are working with foreign and domestic intelligence to gather more evidence and tracking other suspects.
