Chao Phraya river banks collapse in Ayutthaya
More incidents of the Chao Phraya River’s banks collapsing have been reported in Ayutthaya while an expert warned that more river banks in other provinces could give way too after the prolonged floods.
Late Monday night, a section of the Chao Phraya River bank collapsed again in tambon Ban Kum, Bang Ban district, not far from where previous collapses were reported since Dec 8.
The latest breakdown caused a house to be destroyed when it tumbled into the river. No one was injured.
