Ex-police officer given 38 years jail for firing grenade into Bangkok defence ministry

BANGKOK, Dec 13 – Thailand’s Criminal Court on Tuesday sentenced a former policeman to 38 years in jail for firing a rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) into the Ministry of Defence during the political chaos in 2010.

Bundit Sithithum, 44, a former police lance-corporal at Wang Nam Yen in Sa Keao province, was charged of terrorism, possessing explosive devices and ammunition without permits and harming the public and their assets by using explosives.
