Three bombs claim 2 lives in Yala

The Kabang district chief and a defence volunteer were killed and six other people wounded by three bomb explosions in Yala’s Kabang district this morning, police said.

The first explosion was about 3am. Rangsi Supassorn stepped on a home-made bomb buried at the foot of a rubber tree in his plantation in Moo 1 of Kabang district. His left leg was seriously injured and he received shrapnel wounds to his face, said Pol Lt-Col Mustorpa Maning, deputy chief of Kabang police station.
