Army concerned more violence could occur before Thai election

BANGKOK, 29 June 2011 (NNT) – First Army Region Commander, Lt-Gen Udomdej Sitabutr expressed his concerns over the last round of political campaign this week before the election takes place on Sunday while instructing the Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC) to report to the police of any unrest or attacks on canvassers.

Lt General Udomdej also adds that the military is supporting the election despite the rumor saying otherwise about the Army.
