BANGKOK, 19 May 2011 (NNT) – Philippine President Benigno Simeon Cojuangco Aquino III is scheduled to make an official visit to Thailand from 26 to 27 May 2011 to strengthen relations between the two countries as invited by Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva.
According to Information Department Director-General and Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Thani Thongphakdi, the upcoming visit of the incumbent Philippine President to the kingdom is a part of his tour to all ASEAN partners to promote close relations in the region.
The Thai government will hold a reception at Government House on the day of the Philippine leader’s arrival. Prime Minister Abhisit and his Philippine counterpart then will have a discussion regarding bilateral cooperation.
