CAT Telecom in association with Pattaya City has agreed to improve Pattaya’s communications by installing fiber-to-the-home connections throughout the city.

Pattaya Deputy Mayor Ronnakit Ekkasing said, “Pattaya will be the first city in Thailand to have fiber-to-the-home connections or FTTH broadband connections. It is a fiber optic cable connection for individual residences. Such optics-based systems can deliver a multitude of digital information such as telephone, video and data more efficiently than traditional copper coaxial cable.”
