B.C. man dies falling off train in Thailand

A B.C. man — known for lighting a cigarette off the Olympic torch earlier this year — has reportedly died after falling from a train in Thailand.

Media reports from indicate Jordan Ashley Krull died after falling from a train in Ratchaburi province 80 kilometres from Bangkok Tuesday.

A Facebook tribute page to Krull calls he was a “genius” and a “poetic lyricist”.

“To fall off a darn train in Thailand seems bizarre and baffling,” wrote Ryf Van Rig.

A passport and identity card were found at the scene, along with a quantity of money. The ThaiVisa.com bulletin board shows a B.C. identification card for Jordan Ashley Krull, whose birthdate was March 7, 1984.
