Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 plane goes missing while traveling to China

BANGKOK, 8 March 2014 (NNT) – Malaysia Airlines says it has lost contact with a plane travelling from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. The plane was reportedly carrying 227 passengers and 12 crew.

Malaysia Airlines is now collaborating with the search and rescue team, trying to locate the missing plane. Flight MH370, operating a Boeing B777-200 aircraft, lost contact with air traffic controllers in Vietnamese airspace at 2.40 am on Saturday (1.40am in Thailand). The plane was scheduled to land in China at 6.30am local time.
