Two Dead, One Critically Injured in Violent Clash Between Myanmar Nationals in Pattaya
PATTAYA – A violent confrontation between groups of Myanmar nationals turned deadly in the early hours of September 30, leaving two men dead and a third critically injured. The incident unfolded around 6:00 AM on a sidewalk along South Pattaya Road, near the Bali Hai overpass, shocking early morning passersby.

Upon receiving a report of a serious assault, the chief of Pattaya City Police Station dispatched investigative officers and rescue units from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation to the scene. Authorities discovered the body of one unidentified Myanmar man who had sustained a fatal stab wound to the chest. Approximately ten meters away, a 15-centimeter fruit knife was found, believed to be the weapon used in the attack. A second Myanmar man was found deceased nearby with two stab wounds to his back.
A third victim, identified as 20-year-old Mr. S. N., was found seriously injured and received immediate first aid from rescue personnel before being rushed to a hospital for emergency treatment. Police swiftly secured the perimeter to preserve evidence and facilitate the initial investigation.
An eyewitness at the scene reported seeing the victims being chased by a larger group just before the violent altercation erupted. He stated that he initially believed it was a minor scuffle and promptly alerted the police, unaware of the lethal severity of the incident. Through a translator assisting with the investigation, police learned that the conflict originated from a prior dispute at a local football field. The two groups had encountered each other on the street, leading to the escalation.
