Khon Kaen, July 3 – Police have arrested two women for allegedly operating lucrative social media accounts that shared explicit videos with paid access, marking a significant crackdown on digital pornography distribution in the region.

French Man Arrested for Sharing Explicit Videos Online in Bangkok

The Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau in Khon Kaen identified two Twitter accounts—each amassing over 250,000 and 500,000 followers—that publicly posted pornographic clips while offering exclusive content via QR code payments. Following an investigation, authorities executed search warrants at two locations, leading to the apprehension of the suspects.

The first suspect, identified as 25-year-old “A.” from Khon Kaen, was arrested at her residence, where she admitted to managing the illicit operation for nearly a year, earning between 40,000 and 70,000 baht per month. Police seized her mobile phone, which contained evidence linking her to the explicit posts.

In a simultaneous raid in Samut Prakan, officers detained 32-year-old “P.,” who reportedly generated approximately 100,000 baht monthly from similar activities. Both women face charges under Thailand’s Computer Crime Act for importing and publicly disseminating obscene material.

The arrests highlight authorities’ intensified efforts to combat online exploitation and illegal digital content. Police have warned social media users against engaging in or supporting such activities, emphasizing the legal consequences of distributing explicit material without authorization.
