PATTAYA — A 26-year-old delivery driver for a mobile app service filed a police complaint early Monday after allegedly being surrounded and threatened by a group of motorcycle taxi riders in South Pattaya, an incident that escalated into a physical confrontation and vehicle damage.

Altercation Escalates to Blockade
According to the victim, Mr. N. B., the conflict began around 11:00 p.m. on July 28 when a motorcycle taxi driver narrowly avoided a collision with his car on Second Road. After exchanging words, the situation reignited nearly two hours later when 5-10 motorcycle taxi riders surrounded his vehicle near Soi Marine, preventing him from moving and allegedly pounding on his car.
Fearing for his safety, Mr. N. accelerated to escape, resulting in a collision with one of the motorcycles. Both parties later filed conflicting reports at Pattaya City Police Station, with the taxi riders claiming the driver had initially hit one of their bikes before fleeing.
Police Investigate Conflicting Claims
Authorities are reviewing video evidence of the incident, which has since gone viral, to determine liability. The case remains under investigation, with police urging all parties to submit additional evidence.
