BMA opens Sanam Luang area for public to stay overnight

BANGKOK, 16 October 2016 (NNT) – Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) is designating the Sanam Luang area as open to the public to stay overnight as many has traveled from outside Bangkok and have no accommodations.

The BMA’s City Law Enforcement Department Police Colonel Phichai Kriang Watthanasiri said that the BMA has opened Sanam Luang area for mourners nationwide to sleep if they need a place. However, the general public using the area are strictly prohibited from cooking food on the grounds of Sanam Luang, showering or hanging their clothes there.
