Elephant health symposium underway in Chiang Mai

LAMPANG, 26 August 2016 (NNT) – The Forest Industry Organization and Chiang Mai University have co-organized the annual national symposium to brainstorm ideas for the improvement of Thai elephants’ welfare.

The meeting offers a platform for academics, researchers, veterinarians, business operators and representatives of organizations involved in the conservation of Thai elephants to discuss the situation of Thai elephants and ways to enhance their well-being. The event has drawn more than 200 attendants.
