Bangkok launches network of motorcycle taxi informants on security and drugs crimes

BANGKOK, 23 August 2016 (NNT) – The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has established a network of volunteer motorcycle taxi informants to provide tip-offs on security and drug-related crimes.

Deputy Bangkok Governor Pusadee Tamthai chaired the inauguration of the program which will serve as another channel assisting authorities in combating drugs. Participants will be trained in methods of detecting suspicious objects and memorizing the features of perpetrators in order to serve as reliable informants.
