 Two civilians shot dead in Narathiwat

Two civilians – a man and a woman – were separately shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Narathiwat province on Friday.

The first incident took place at about 4 pm on the Narathiwat-Sungai Padi road in Ban Yaning, Cho Airong district. It was reported that the victim, 36-year old Manapiyoh Hajijehmu, was tending to some business next to a rubber plantation when the gunman dismounted from a motorcycle, approached him and fired several shots at him with a pistol.
