A Middle Easterner who has been treated at Bamrasnaradura hospital has been diagnosed of being infected with MERS (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome), said Dr Amnuay Kajina, director-general of Diseases Control Department, on Saturday.

No details about the patient were given however but only the fact that laboratory tests showed that the patient was infected with MERS and that the patient is still being treated at the hospital.
