At least nine people died and 31 more sustained injuries as two commuter buses collided in Makwanpur district of Nepal, local media reported on Sunday.

NEW DELHI (Sputnik) — The incident occurred as one of the buses tried to overtake a truck, The Himalayan Times reported, citing police.

According to the newspaper, four people among the injured are in critical condition.
