Thailand welcomes Aung San Suu Kyi

BANGKOK, 23 June 2016 (NNT) – The State Counsellor of Myanmar Aung San Suu Kyi has visited Thailand on Thursday and will meet with the Thai Prime Minister to discuss labor cooperation.

Mrs Suu Kyi arrived in Thailand for the first time as the de facto leader of Myanmar’s government and as an official guest of the Thai government on the invitation of Prime Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha. She was accompanied by her Cabinet, the Ministers of Labour, Immigration and Population, Planning and Finance, and State for Foreign Affairs.
