BMA to unclog over 1,000 canals in Northern Bangkok

BANGKOK, 30 June 2016 (NNT) – The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has coordinated additional canal dredging operations around Bangkok to prevent future flooding.

Bangkok Governor M.R. Sukhumbhand Paribatra presided over the opening ceremony of the canal dredging operation, which was also held in honor of the 70th anniversary of His Majesty the King’s accession to the throne and Her Majesty the Queen’s birthday anniversary on August 12.
