Over 8,000 cases of dengue fever in the past 2 months

BANGKOK, 1 March 2016 (NNT) – The Ministry of Public Health is accelerating its efforts to combat dengue fever, after more than 8,000 cases were reported in the past two months.

Permanent Secretary for Public Health Sopon Mekthon reported on the data released by the Bureau of Epidemiology. In the past two months, a total of 8,651 people were infected with dengue fever, resulting in one death.
