NSTDA organizes first ever Thailand Tech Show

BANGKOK, 23 February 2016 (NNT) – The National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) has organized the first ever Thailand Tech Show, aiming to push ready-to-use technologies to market.

The NSTDA, in cooperation with 19 networks, has set up the first ever Thailand Tech Show under the theme “from shelf-top to store-front” looking to drive research results to commercial usage.

NSTDA Deputy Director Narong Sirilertworakul revealed that over 150 works were on display at the show, which allowed 15 minutes for each of the works’ creators to present their accomplishments.

The event served as a forum for business negotiations, allowing innovations to hit the market sooner, he said, adding that participants that can secure a deal are required to pay a 30,000 THB facilitation fee, along with 2 percent of their sales total.
The event also featured a Product Shopping zone displaying technological innovations from 19 partner agencies, including extracts from sticky rice that can be used in anti-aging products.
