Makha Bucha Day spending likely to hit 4-year low

BANGKOK, 18 February 2016 (NNT) – The University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce (UTCC) has forecast that this year’s spending during the Makha Bucha long weekend will be the lowest in four years, owing to delayed economic recovery.

Based on a survey on people’s spending behavior during the upcoming Makha Bucha Day holiday, the Center for Economic and Business Forecasting of UTCC estimated the value of cash flow at about 2.66 billion baht, the lowest point in the past four years.
