Alcohol sales prohibited on Makha Bucha

BANGKOK, 20 February 2016 (NNT) – Police officers will be dropping in on retailers, bars, restaurants, and other venues to prevent alcohol sales on Makha Bucha, the national Buddhist holiday.

The Royal Thai Police will be enforcing alcohol bans on Makha Bucha Day. Officers will travel to entertainment venues, bus terminals, train stations, and gas stations to make sure the law is not violated.
