Thunderstorms, possibly with gusty winds and hail, were expected in the upper part of the country next week, from April 21-24, the Meteorological Department warned on Friday.

Director-general Wanchai Sakudomchai said a strong high pressure ridge will extend over the upper part of Thailand and the South China Sea, causing seasonal thunderstorms.
