Bangkok’s Blue Line electric train project set to begin in 2016

BANGKOK, 14 September 2014 (NNT) – The Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) is expediting the “Blue Line” electric train project from Tha Phra – Phutthamonthon Sai 4.

The project’s auctions are expected to begin in 2016. MRTA Governor Yongsit Rotesrikul said the MRTA had allocated budget of around 40 million baht to study and design the 8-kilometers long Blue Line whose total investment value was 140 billion baht.
