Thai Military Junta sets up reconciliation centers

BANGKOK, 27 May 2014 (NNT) – The National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) establishes reconciliation centers with the objective to eradicate political hatred and threatens to issue a ban on transactions against masterminds of anti-coup protests.

Deputy spokesman of the army Col.Winthai Suwaree said on Tuesday that army Commander-in-Chief Gen.Prayuth Chan-ocha had ordered the NCPO to set up the reconciliation centers at the central and regional levels. Aimed at bridging the political divisions, the centers would encourage all people to join regardless of their political affinity, he said.
