CMPO files for bail revocation against protest leader

BANGKOK, 10 March 2014 (NNT) – The Center for Maintaining Peace and Order (CMPO) has requested the Criminal Court to consider canceling the bail of Dr Ravee Maschamadol, core leader of the People’s Army and Energy Reform Network, who recently staged a protest outside the Energy Ministry.

As assigned by the CMPO, investigative officers have submitted a petition with the court, seeking revocation of bail previously given to Dr Ravee. CMPO committee member Tharit Pengdit claimed that the protest leader on March 6 led a group of supporters to demonstrate in front of the Energy Complex on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road which is the headquarters of the Ministry of Energy.
