Internal Security Act extended in Bangkok, adjacent provinces

BANGKOK, Dec 25 – The Thai Cabinet today extended enforcement of the Internal Security Act (ISA) for two more months to maintain law and order in Bangkok and its adjacent provinces as anti-government protesters pledged to intensify their campaign to oust the caretaker government.

Members of the caretaker cabinet convened today at Royal Thai Air Force headquarters. The meeting was also attended by national police chief Pol Gen Adul Saengsingkaew who reported the situation of ongoing political demonstrations.
