Thaksin aims for role in Thailand’s economy from afar
Ousted prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra has emerged from months of silence in his self-imposed exile to say he intends to play a key role in running from afar Thailand’s economic policies if the opposition Puea Thai Party wins the coming elections.
His move comes while Puea Thai is mired in an internal conflict to seek a new leader for the party in the poll.
