Death toll in Thailand flooding rises to 63

BANGKOK, April 9 — The death toll from severe flooding and mudslides in Thailand’s southern provinces has risen to 63 as search-and-rescue operations continued by concerned officials, said Public Health Minister Jurin Laksanawisit on Saturday.

Meanwhile, he said, the urgent problem now facing doctors is that distressed victims may resort to committing suicide as they have lost their loved ones and all their valuables.
