Thailand’s telecommunications industry is starting to sound like a very badly written Greek tragedy involving sibling state bodies, conflicting love-hate relationships and controversial twists in plot and storyline.
Going back to the sudden stop to the 3G auctions and up until now, consumers have not seen many improvements to services and of course, no nation-wide 3G yet despite some new services and integrations carriers are bringing to market to give subscribers more ways to spend their money. As a direct result of the veto on 3G, state owned CAT has been rapidly deploying its own network of 3G towers and equipment.
