Thailand-Cambodia border dispute: 16 Thais killed, 26 wounded and 4 captured [unconfirmed]

There are unconfirmed reports that the Thai side had suffered significant damages and casualties during the nearly 3 hours of fighting at 3 p.m yesterday, Friday 4th February.

-Unofficial reports said 16 Thai soldiers were killed, 26 wounded and 4 were captured and 2 Thai tanks were destroyed at Ta Thav Pass. The 4 Thai soldiers captured has been confirmed by the Thai Army.

-On the Cambodian side, one soldier and one civilian (a CTN cameraman?) were killed and one vehicle belonging to a CTN Television had been destroyed.

-Official reports said that 9 Thai soldiers were killed, 26 wounded and 4 captured. On the Cambodian side, one soldier was killed and 6 suffered minor injuries.

  1. Your report is not true. In fact, 75 Thai soldiers and more than 120 wounded. The Thais are not good in night fightings. They lack of fighting experiences. They rely mostly on their US-made weapons, artilleries, and tanks. They are always pushed out of the battle fields by the Khmer soldiers who use only the junky weapons from their past wars. They are like the Hollywood soldiers and they are very brave to kill the unarmed RED SHIRTS. Long Live Thai Soldiers, the toughest crooks in the worlds!!!
